Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern to Open First Florida Location
Opening in early 2014, concept’s 16th location is first foray outside Midwest
NAPLES, Fla. (July 16, 2013) – Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern is expanding outside the Midwest as it plans to open its first location in Florida in early 2014. The brand’s 16th location will open in the Mercato mixed-use development in Naples, where guests will enjoy Rusty Bucket’s traditional American food, extensive beer selection, exceptional service and family-friendly atmosphere.
“Rusty Bucket truly embraces and supports the communities in which we do business,” said founder and president Gary Callicoat. “We hope Rusty Bucket will become Naples’s new neighborhood restaurant and tavern with our genuine hospitality as we have become in our other markets. We are proud to create more than 100 jobs in the Naples community and are thrilled to open our first Florida location in the highly acclaimed Mercato development.”
Rusty Bucket’s 4300-square-foot space will seat 150 guests inside the main dining room, and a dynamic covered terrace with an outdoor bar, TVs, fans and misters and will accommodate 75 more guests. Indoor and outdoor bars will offer a wide variety of craft and import beers, wines and creative cocktails. With TVs and sports memorabilia throughout the space, Rusty Bucket is the perfect destination to watch all of the big games with friends and family. It is an ideal addition to Mercato, a 53-acre project that includes retail and office space, 93 luxury condominiums and more than 20 upscale retailers, that received special recognition from the International Council of Shopping Centers in its annual design and development competition.
Introducing a new menu, Rusty Bucket Naples will feature new takes on classic American dishes including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, main plates and desserts. Guests can begin their meal with fried pickle spears served with ranch dressing and the signature Bucket bites mini burgers with grilled onion and yellow cheddar on potato buns. Salad options include the flavorful Thai steak salad with teriyaki-marinated grilled beef tenderloin, crisp greens, udon noodles, mixed Asian vegetables, pineapple and grilled bok choy tossed in a soy ginger vinaigrette with candied peanuts and cilantro as well as the blackened salmon salad with baby spinach, mixed greens, fresh strawberries, candied pecans, sliced red onion and & bleu cheese crumbles tossed in a honey vinaigrette dressing. Sandwiches range from the Italian torpedo with grilled Italian sausage topped with cappicola ham, salami, provolone, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncinis and Italian dressing to the double bacon cheeseburger with a ground beef and bacon patty topped with more bacon, caramelized onion, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and roasted garlic aioli to the lightly spicy and crispy black bean veggie burger with provolone cheese, roasted red pepper relish, romaine hearts and a lemon basil aioli. Main plate offerings include parmesan crusted tilapia served with skillet beans, sour cream mashers and a roasted garlic cream sauce, Atlantic cod fish and chips and the backyard BBQ ribs, lightly-smoked Memphis-style, slathered with the signature Bucket BBQ sauce and served with French fries and cole slaw. For a treat, end the meal with a cold, frosty root beer float made with Rogue draft root beer and creamy Edy’s vanilla ice cream or triple chocolate cake topped with Edy’s vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce.
Complementing the culinary offerings, Rusty Bucket offers both new and familiar favorites on the extensive beer list with more than 80 craft and import options, as well as seasonal specials. The 24 beers on tap are available in 16 or 20 ounces and include specialty selections like Rogue Ales, Magic Hat #9 and Anchor Steam. In addition, nearly 20 wines are available by the glass and by the bottle. Daily cocktail specials range from nightly happy hours and Mule Mondays to Throwback Thursdays and Bloody Sundays, which will feature new infused vodkas in three new bloody mary flavors including jalapeno and lime and habanero and sweet pepper.
The Rusty Bucket experience is further enhanced by the genuine hospitality and sincere friendliness of the associates. Currently seeking great management candidates, Rusty Bucket will hire approximately 100 associates at the beginning of the holiday season.
